WHAT IS TSINELAS?
TSINELAS ASSOCIATION INC. is a non-government, not-for-profit organization that gives educational assistance to poor students in mountain barangays and other depressed areas in Cebu.


WHAT IS ITS VISION?
TSINELAS envisions a society where all children of school age are not deprived of education because of poverty.


WHAT IS ITS MISSION?
TSINELAS aims to help poor children stay in school and to assist teachers in their task of providing quality education to their students.


WHAT ARE ITS OBJECTIVES?

• To spend for the students’ basic school needs, like tuition, school fees, uniforms and school supplies.
• To provide students with seminars and workshops that will help them discover their potentials as human beings.
• To help teachers, parents and other members of the community in their task of providing quality education to students
• To help improve school facilities

WHO ARE ITS MEMBERS?
TSINELAS is composed of students, teachers, social workers and professionals sharing a passion to be of service to others.


IS IT REGISTERED WITH SEC?
TSINELAS was formed in October 2003 and was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in February 2004 under Registration No. CN200425206. It is also registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue. It links with other groups that are into similar advocacy and operates alongside local government units and the Department of Education.


WHY “TSINELAS”?
A pair of slippers is a fitting symbol of the organization's aim of doing ordinary things in the service of others. Tsinelas wants to provide comfort to children in need and ensure that their right to education is respected, one step at a time.
